Ennis – Killarney (2) – Waterford – Dublin (2). Day 1.Depart US for Transatlantic Flight to Ireland.Day 2.Arrive Shannon Airport.Proceed through Customs Area where your personal Chauffeur who will be at your disposal for the next 4 days will meet you. To-day you will visit County Clare, visiting its Capital Town Ennis, thereafter heading west to the Resort Village of Lahinch, renowned for it’s beautiful beach and Championship Golf Course. Onwards from here to the Cliffs of Moher, where you will have a brief stop to visit the Cliffs to experience the 700 feet direct drop into the Atlantic Ocean. After this experience you will travel north through the Burren Region, a 100 square miles of limestone rock. After lunch on the shores of Galway Bay you will start heading south to Ennis, after arriving in Ennis you will have an opportunity to meander through the quaint town know for it’s narrow streets dating back to 13th.Cent. Overnight Ennis. Day 3.Ennis – Bunratty – Limerick – Ring of Kerry – Killarney.Depart Ennis and head south to Bunratty Castle. Here you experience the Medieval 15th. Cent. Castle built on the river Ratty. Onwards to Limerick City Irelands third largest city built on the River Shannon. Leaving Limerick City you will head southwest for Killarney, enroute you will travel through the picturesque village of Adare. Onwards to the Ring of Kerry. The Ring of Kerry is probably the most renowned scenic peninsula in the Emerald Isle, taking in some breathtaking views of the rugged Atlantic Coastline. On you drive through the Peninsula you will pass through Killorglin, Cahersiveen – birthplace of Daniel O’Connell, Waterville, Sneem and through Molls Gap to Killarney. Overnight Killarney. Day 4.Killarney.Today you will have the opportunity to have a relaxing day in the town of Killarney. You will have the chance to take a horse drawn carriage to Muckross House and Gardens. This is a very relaxing day, and somewhat of a ‘going back in time’ day. The Horse drawn carriage will take you from the town of Killarney for about half an hour to Muckross Estate. Muckross House was built in the late 19th.Cent. and was handed over to the sate in the 1930’s. Return to Killarney via Torc Waterfall. Overnight Killarney. Day 5.Killarney – Waterford.Today you will head east through County Cork with and opportunity to visit the popular village of Blarney. During you stop at Blarney you will visit Blarney Castle to ‘kiss the stone’ and have a little time to do a little shopping at Blarney Woolen Mills. After lunch head for Waterford City, before checking into your hotel you will stop at the Waterford Crystal Factory. Here you will be given a guided tour through the factory and then you will have a little time to browse through the Gallery Shop, which has the finest display of Crystal you will probably see on you trip. Overnight Waterford. Day 6.Waterford – Dublin.Depart Waterford for Ireland’s Capital City. Heading north to day you will stop first at Kilkenny – the Medieval City of Ireland. During your visit Kilkenny you will have the opportunity to visit Kilkenny Castle and St. Canice’s Cathedral. After Kilkenny head north east to County Wicklow – Garden of Ireland. Travelling through County Wicklow you will visit Glendalough – Monastic settlement of St. Kevin dating back to the 6th. Cent. After Glendalough travel through the Wicklow Mountains to Powerscourt House and Gardens. After this stop another half-hour drive and you have arrived in Dublin City. Overnight Dublin. Day 7.Dublin City.Today you will be on your own to take in Dublin City. You will have time to do some last minute shopping in Grafton & Nassau Street, take in the sight on Dublin City Bus Tours. Dublin City Bus Tours is part of our National Bus Service but operates an open-top City Tour Bus specially for those visitor who want to do see Dublin’s sites at there own pace. You can buy a ticket from you concierge and he will advise you the nearest place to pick-up your tour bus, all you do is pick out the places of interest to you and hop on and off as it suits you. Day 8.Return to US.Depart Hotel for Dublin Airport where you will check-in for your return flight back to US.
Day 1. Depart US for transatlantic flight to Ireland.Day 2. Shannon – Cliffs of Moher – Burren – Galway.Arrive Shannon. Proceed through baggage reclaim and Customs Area where your Chauffeur will be awaiting you in Arrivals Hall. Today you will head north from Shannon through County Clare, enroute the first town of significance you will come to is Ennis. Ennis is renowned for its narrow streets which makes it very quaint and this town dates back to the 13th.Cent. Onwards from Ennis heading west to Lahinch, this will be you first glimpse of the Atlantic from the ‘other side’. Lahinch has a wonderful beach and also well know for its Championship Golf Course. From Lahinch you will travel another 10mins. to the Cliffs of Moher. The Cliffs of Moher have a number sheer drops in excess of 700 ft. into the Atlantic. Continuing north you will travel through the Burren Region, which is 100 square miles of Limestone rock. This part of the trip will take you along the north Clare coastline looking across at Galway Bay. After a little lunch –on the shores of Galway Bay - probably in Ballyvaughan will continue through the Burren into Galway City. Overnight Galway. Day 3. Galway – Bunratty Castle – Limerick – Adare – Killarney.Today you will head south to Killarney after a stop at the Galway Crystal Heritage Center. After about and hours trip you will arrive at Bunratty Castle. Bunratty Castle is a Medieval Castle dating back to the 15th. Cent. You will have time to spend here preambling through the Castle and Folk Park and possibly have lunch and the well know Durty Nellys Pub. After Bunratty you head to Limerick City, Limerick is one of the oldest cities in Ireland with a number of buildings here dating back to 11th. & 12th. Cent. – St Mary’s Cathedral & Kings John’s Castle. Heading southwest from Limerick you next little village is Adare. Adare is probably one of the prettiest villages in Ireland – and is one of Ireland’s ‘Tidiest Village’ award winners. After you brief stop here at Adare you head for Killarney arriving here early afternoon. Overnight Killarney. Day 4. Ring of Kerry.The Ring of Kerry is probably one of the most renowned Peninsulas in the World, and today is you chance to take it all in. After leaving Killarney will head out along the Peninsula to Killorglin. This is small little village on the River Laune is the scene of a ‘Puck Fair’ which is held in August for three days. The ‘Puck’ is a billy goat that is placed on a platform in the town square for the three days. It has been suggested that the goat is a custom surviving from pagan times. Heading west yours next little town is Cahersiveen – the birthplace of Daniel O’Connell, then to Waterville and on Sneem. Sneem is similar to Adare having also won this coveted ‘Tidiest Village’ award a number of years ago also. After Sneem you will head north for Molls Gap, with the road dividing the Macgillycuddy Reeks (Ireland highest mountain range) and the Torc Mountains. Before returning to Killarney you can visit Muckross House and Gardens, this house is dating back to the late 19th. Cent. and was handed over to the state in the 1930’s. Overnight Killarney. Day 5. Blarney Castle or Dingle Peninsula.Today is the day where you plan you own trip. You have the opportunity to visit Blarney Castle –‘Kiss the Stone’ or head west for more exciting countryside before heading north to Limerick. If you choose Blarney then you will travel east through County Cork for about 1hour 20mins and arrive in the little village of Blarney. Here you will have time to visit Blarney Castle and ‘Kiss the Stone’ and do some shopping at Blarney Woolen Mills. Thereafter head north through some of the finest farming countryside in Ireland before arriving in Limerick. Otherwise you day will take you to the Dingle Peninsula, Dingle is probably one of the most rugged and bleak places you will ever visit but this is what makes it on of the most beautiful places to see in Ireland. Dingle is well known in movie circles as it is where the film ‘Ryan’s Daughter’ and ‘Far and Away’ were filmed. Heading west to Dingle you will be enthralled by the rugged coastline, beautiful beaches and contrasting Mountain ranges. After visit the Dingle Peninsula you will head north along the Shannon Estuary – Ireland’s Mississippi – into Limerick City. Your last night’s accommodation in Ireland – for now – is Limerick City. Day 6. Return to US.This morning you will be picked –up by your Chauffeur and taken the short trip [20mins] to Shannon Airport where you will board your transatlantic flight back to the US. [Top] |
